Born : Ubud-Gianyar, Bali.04-02-1980.Pandi is the archetypal artist-rebel whose tempestuous life matches the drama of his works.
Pandi's genius lies in the balance created between subtle colour washes and the stripped back immediacy of his painting, achieved by the uncompromising representation of people and animals from Bali.
Intense, but balanced, his work combines perspective foreshortening with bold unfettered brush strokes to produce wonderfully harmonic paintings, of instant but lasting appeal. Pandi's light touch results in consistently beautiful artwork with great energy.
Anak ketiga dari empat bersaudara ini dilahirkan pada tanggal 4 Februari 1980 di Ubud, Bali. Bakat melukisnya yang sudah terlihat sejak kecil kemudian dikembangkannya lagi dengan senantiasa belajar demi menghasilkan karya yang komunikatif.
Keberhasilannya dalam menghasilkan karya-karya yang dapat berbicara secara universal mungkin dapat dilihat dari peminat lukisan-lukisannya yang tersebar di tiga benua, Asia, Australia, dan Eropa. |
